Infants show us how the impulse to move arises reflexively, then develops into functional patterns. In this workshop we will explore the Basic Neuro-cellular Patterns, a blueprint of our own earliest movement. As we explore them as adults, our spontaneous activity will align with our intent through the most efficient motor pathways available, and many things we like to achieve through movement will become newly accessible. These are the functional patterns, the words and sentences that are formed through our early experience. We'll continue in May with investigating reflexes, which are the the seeds to these patterns and the alphabet of movement.
