Paul Izak

Paul's unique style is a blend of Folk, Blues, Rock and Reggae, rooted in a deep love for the earth and the growth of collective consciousness.

Born and raised on the Island of O'ahu, Paul has a tangible connection with the Hawaiian Islands which is reflected in his songs. A heartfelt passion for farming and yoga are integrated into his musical message, inspiring a healthy and conscious lifestyle.

Tubby Love

From the garden to the globe, Tubby Love is gathering the tribe. Born David Andrew Terrett, Tubby's physical, spiritual, and musical transformation has been a testimony to the power of human evolution. Music has been the catalyst for deepening his connection to life and also a bridge for sharing his journey with others.

Calling the island of Kauai home has set forth a Roots Family movement involving regenerative land and energy practices connecting communities inter-island and worldwide. Tubby and his partner Amber Lily have been blessed to create a soundtrack for this movement alongside artists like Medicine For The People, Dustin Thomas, Wookiefoot, Trevor Hall, Mike Love, Nattali Rize, Paul Izak, Rising Appalachia, Cas Haley, as well as other artists with a similar message. In a time of much needed change, Tubby Love is unifying the people through music and addressing real issues to inspire solutions.

I,Star

From the heart of Appalachia, I,Star rises… Encompassing a core fusion of emcee/producer Truth-I Manifest’s potent lyrical flow and production, and singer/songwriter Aradhana Silvermoon’s angelic melodies and guitar licks, this husband-wife duo's performances are a dynamic interplay of hard-hitting rhymes weaving through evocative refrains, building to harmonies in the hooks.

Their wholly original “folk-hop” carriage bears keen commentary on personal and global transformation, ancient wisdom, stewardship of the Earth, social justice, and Love amidst it all.

Max Ribner

Max's unique and fusion-inspired approach to Flugelhorn and trumpet has led him to perform with artists such as Esperanza Spalding, Nahko And Medicine For The People, Rising Appalachia, Trevor Hall, and Liv Warfield (Prince). The result of years of collaboration with such a broad musical community is powerfully illustrated on Max's debut solo album, 1st Language, which brings 50+ artists together in a cross-continental collaboration as a sonic calling together of our collective humanity.

Inspired by a deeply personal three-year journey of being cracked open and alchemized by life’s challenges, Max’s upcoming album, Resilient Beings, will be a collection of modern-day mantras and torch-bearing songs to bring the listener a sense of coming home to self.

Fireside Experience

When we speak, there is tone.  When we move, there is rhythm.  Bridging the gap between stage and audience, Max Ribner and local artists welcome you to an immersive fireside experience where we all become part of the orchestra.  As a collective, we will journey into a prayerful space of connectivity, belonging, and coming home through song.

== A NOTE ON PRICING, ACCESSIBILITY & REFUNDS ==

Our finances work differently than other venues. We are an intimate, independent and non-alcoholic venue, which means we have to charge more for tickets to make our numbers work.

We love producing shows for the community -- and it's financially risky. We value both accessibility for the community and paying our artists & crew what they ask, while caring for the land as well. It's a continuous balancing act.

==> Low on cash?
If you’d like to join us but are low on cash, please email us at hawkandhawthorne@gmail.com & let us know what you CAN offer. We have a limited number of discounted spots available for those who need them, including BIPOC & economically disadvantaged groups.

==> Can you support?
Conversely, if you are in abundance & can offer extra, there is an optional "GRATUITY" on the ticket page. A $5 tip is automatically added but can be adjusted up, down or removed. Tips are shared equally amongst the crew. Thank you for helping make this dream work!

==> Financial Transparency
We know coming to our shows is an investment, of both your time and money.  Here is a rough breakdown of where your money goes when you buy a ticket.

Of your $45:
$20 goes to pay artists
$10 goes to pay our community crew
$10 goes the venue
$4 covers cacao
$1 covers venue utilities & maintenance

==> REFUNDS & RESALE: Refunds are not available. If you wish to re-sell, we recommend using the Facebook event page associated with this show. The Hawk also moderates a Telegram group. If you are buying tickets from people online, *please check with us first* to make sure they are genuine. Ticket scammers are becoming increasingly common on social platforms. We will not refund a ticket if you are scammed!
