A Bowie Birthday Bash

Hey Gloomies, 

 

As we look towards the grim winter months, with the shine of the holidays past, there’s one bright spot on the January calendar. The Man Who Fell to Earth was born 76 years ago yesterday and while he left a hole in our hearts he also left us some of the greatest tunes to grace a dance floor. 

 

In honor of Bowies birth month, we’ll be throwing a Bowie Birthday Bash Sat 1/21 at Bar Freda, kicking off at 10:30. We’ll be celebrating the many faces of Bowie, playing the hits, deep cuts and era appropriate bangers and having some Bowie cake for the occasion. And as imitation is the greatest form of flattery, we’d love for gloomies to come dressed as their favorite Bowie alter ego.
