Have you ever wanted to play bluegrass music with other people but never knew where to start? This class will focus on just that: bluegrass jam etiquette. This section of the Bluegrass Jam class is for Intermediate to Advanced players. The class is open to returning students and/or instrumentalists who are proficient in most keys and can play every major and minor chord. You should feel quite agile with chord progressions and are ready to dive in and jam at faster tempos and explore soloing. Please check with the instructor before signing up if you are unsure
We will learn various popular bluegrass tunes from artists such as Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and many more. You’ll also learn basic skills like ear training and music theory to help you navigate tunes you may not be familiar with, and give you the essentials to sound great even on a tune you have never heard before!
