What happens when street band music comes inside? Expect a monthly dose of our favorite brass and percussion artists honking their hearts out with original tunes, slamming solos, and untethered experimentation.
BANDA RIM BAM BUM is a collective of 19 musicians from Chile inspired by traditional Andean, Latin-American carnaval, and Afro-Latino rhythms. Their original compositions feature indigenous rhythms and melodies (Morenada, Diablada, Tinku), Salsa, and Frevo fused with Funk, Ska and Rocksteady. Adapting popular and folkloric repertoire to wind and percussion, their rhythmic-musical mixture captures the essence and spirit of Carnaval.
