BRIAN PRUNKA: In Residence every Saturday in June.

Brian Prunka is a composer, guitarist and out player with a deep interest in both Arabic music and jazz. He is  one of the co-founder of Brooklyn Maqam an organization dedicated to presenting and promoting music from the Arab world, and is involved in many various projects, including Zikrayat, the Bil Afrah Project, Sharq Attack, Nashaz. 

He will be in residence every Saturday in June.

This week: KITAB JADID
Dubbed “one of New York’s most eclectic, interesting oudists” (NY Music Daily), this the debut of this project of new “oud jazz” compositions by Prunka, with an emphasis on spontaneous group interplay and open-ended interpretation
