There is an ocean of sorrow that weighs on our collective psyche. A deep part of all of us can feel it, no matter how much we avert our gaze so that we can carry on with our days. This sorrow has been accumulating for much longer than Climate Change has been a part of human consciousness, but the devastating natural disasters and dire predictions associated with Climate Change has made it much more difficult to look away.
Even for those who consciously acknowledge it, the feelings triggered are so vast and impenetrable, that many can only gently tap in before putting up the blinders again, fearing that any deeper exploration might drag them into the abyss.
But what if, these feelings, dubbed "climate grief", "eco anxiety" - an overwhelming miasma of fear, guilt, rage, powerlessness, hopelessness - are less symptoms of a psychological illness to be treated and soothed, but a portal, an initiation, a sacred wake up call tugging at us, beckoning us to return to the sacredness of life, to reconnect with the vastness of our souls, to touch true belonging? And what if, the only way out, is in?
Join Wildsong steward Navlyn Wang for a soulful exploration of this path, one that she has walked, and continues to walk.
Energy exchange: $25 (no one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you are financially strained, please email Navlyn@gmail.com if you'd still like to attend)
This exploration is virtual - meeting invite will be sent after registration. There will be recording for those not able to attend in real time.
