If you like They Might Be Giants, then you definitely want to be at Unicorn for this. Keep reading to understand why.
Can you please pass the milk please? Is your hand inside the puppet head? Do you want a shoehorn - the kind with teeth? If the answer to any of these questions is YES, then Don’t Let’s Start might just be the band to make all of your musical dreams come true. Don’t Let’s Start is the Hudson Valley’s best and only They Might Be Giants tribute act, playing all the hits from TMBG’S classic albums. Fronted by Liam Singer (co-owner, The Avalon Lounge) with his mother Rebecca Singer on bass, Andrew Smith (Jungle Green) on guitar, and Andrew Emge (The Fascinating Chimera Project, The Big Net) on drums, Don’t Let’s Start brings the strange and catchy universe of the Giants directly to the people. The performers are not grinning scarecrows sent here to torture and manipulate you; no, this is a fun-loving crew that yearns only to keep your ears tingling and your feet moving. Join the Don’t Let’s Start revolution today!
Andrew H. Smith is a songwriter from Western Massachusetts. He began releasing music in 2013 under the name Jungle Green, a solo project which later evolved into a six-piece rock group. Smith writes pop music, and has released twenty albums. He has recorded his songs with producer Jonathan Rado, and contributed vocals on both solo albums by Paul de Jong (The Books). Smith also runs a company called Atlantic City Melodies.
“He’s a born entertainer. He’s kind of an old, Jewish borscht-belt entertainer in the body of a smarter, musical millennial.” - Paul de Jong (The Books)
