In this online session, we will learn selected songs from the Diwan of the Moroccan Gnostic Muhammad ibn al-Habib (1871–1972). Renowned among Sufis, the Diwan is celebrated for its balance between poems that convey direct spiritual experience and those that offer guidance on the path of spiritual journeying. Together, we will explore their melodies, meanings, and deeper spiritual wisdom.
About the Diwan
The Diwan of the Moroccan Gnostic Muhammad ibn al-Habib (1871–1972) is a profound transmission of essential Sufi teachings rooted in the Qur’an and the Sunnah, presented in clear and accessible classical Arabic.
Guided by Sidi Abdelfatah Mouttaqui, a Moroccan singer whose voice beautifully carries the heart transmission of Shaykh Ibn al-Habib.
