As the nourishing showers of April wash away the grey spells of spring's lazy beginnings, through the crusted earth, flowers emerge. Welcomed by warm winds, we are gently invited to dance and sway in wild splendor. As our monthly ritual of Ecstatic Dance arrives, we expand and explore as pedals in their annual meeting of the sun.

WE INVITE YOU to arrive at 6:30 for a little mixing and mingling : )
Rich will then kick the night off with a brief opening circle, followed by Kimmy who will guide us through a warm-up that harmonizes self-expression and interpersonal connection through gentle movements to get your body and mind dance ready.
At 8:00, Morgana will be at the helm, laying down some hypnotic and rhythmic magic for a soulful and heartfelt ecstatic dance journey.
After dancing your heart out, Jenrik will help everyone wind down with some soothing stretching for about 5-10 minutes, preparing you for Tomer's sound bath. He and special guest Lisa will lull you into a relaxed and blissful state, allowing our bodies and minds to re-boot and ground.
We will conclude the evening with our signature closing circle and then a little more time for socializing afterward.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING
1. Comfortable and loose-fitting clothes that let you move your body and free yourself
2. A water bottle or container to refill. We will have free water
3. Your instruments! (percussion, hand drums, tambourine, etc.)
4. Something to add to the altar if you wish
5. Good vibes and an open heart and mind
6. A friend... or two!
ECSTATIC DANCE NYACK GUIDLINES
1. This is an ALCHOHOL and DRUG-FREE event. Be here and be clear. Plants are welcome if used intentionally and with respect.
2. No smoking within 50 feet of the building, please.
3. No cellphones/talking on the dance floor, please. Speak with your movement.
4. We dance barefoot on the dance floor for optimal grounding, (socks or special indoor-only shoes also allowed).
5. This is a consensual dance and safe-space, free of judgement. All physical contact with fellow dancers must be consensual. Consent is Freely Given, Enthusiastic, and Explicit. (FEE) If you feel uncomfortable at any time or simply feel the call to separate from dancing with someone, you can respectfully signal prayer hands at the heart to part ways. "If you must depart, prayer hands to heart!" 💖🙏🏼💖
6. Allow your body the freedom to move however you wish! This is a judgment free zone!

At our events, the dance floor becomes your canvas, and every step tells a tale of passion and expression. It's a celebration of the arts in motion. In this sacred space, there are no judgments to fear, no phones, shoes or talking on the dance floor, no substances, and no worries. We begin the evenings with some mingling and community bonding. After that, we start with a warm up class to get us channeling an inner flow within our body and mind. Exactly after, we allow our sonic alchemist and resident DJ, Morgana, to guide us through an experience of magic through music and movement, expanding our being and creating an inner state of ecstasy. Allow yourself the opportunity to feel the energy pulsing through your veins as you embark on your own composition of creation. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or simply a lover of the extraordinary, this is your invitation to experience the enchantment of dance like never before. After we dance our hearts out, we offer a few minutes to stretch and wind down before ending the evening with a relaxing sound bath. A curative full-body immersive and meditative sound experience that aims to help everyone to decompress, let go of stress, anxiety, and worldly concerns. We are more than pleased to encourage you to join us on this unearthing of your self-discovery. Don't just watch this story unfold—be a part of it.
