20 years ago, Production I.G. partnered with Studio Ghibli to produce a follow-up to one of the greatest anime films of all time, Ghost in the Shell. The sequel, subtitled Innocence, sees director Mamoru Oshii return to his dystopian, cybernetic future with a new story centered on a string of murders from an unknown assailant. Two polar opposite police officers find themselves entangled in a plot with the Yakuza, where the discoveries they make will reshape the way they see artificial intelligence forever.
