Riga-born musician Ilya Shneyveys is an internationally renowned performer (on accordion and a bucket of other instruments), researcher and interpreter of traditional Yiddish music, arranger, composer, producer, and a Brooklyn resident for the past five years. For this concert, celebrating his 40th birthday, Ilya will present a set of all original klezmer compositions written over the past 20 years, interpreted by an all-star klezmer band with very special guests. Of course the evening would not be complete without a klezmer jam, so don’t forget your instruments!
