Intermediate Fiddle is intended for anyone who has taken Fiddle 1 or had some introductory fiddle instruction. It is also an excellent entry point for anyone who has played violin in the past (even many years before). Topics will include 2-octave scales, basic fiddle rhythm, finding your own best bow grip, dynamics, drone strings and more. These concepts will be introduced through a series of traditional American fiddle tunes. Students can expect to learn 5-7 tunes during the eight weeks. Every tune will be taught by ear with recorded examples and tablature provided.
