Baritone saxophonist Josh Sinton presents his current research on creative quartet dynamics. The group will be playing original material from their most recent release “4 freedoms” as well as new material. Inspired by African American contrapuntists like Julius Hemphill, James Brown and Henry Threadgill, Sinton’s recent work has focused on creating a sonic version of the political world he would like to live in, individuality melded with a respect and curiosity for the other folks we see and hear.
