Join Swamp in the City for a night of Cajun and Creole music at Jalopy Theatre on Thursday, September 5th! We're thrilled to present a special performance featuring Jourdan Thibodeaux, Cedric Watson, and Joel Savoy.
Jourdan Thibodeaux, hailing from the blackjack boggy woods of Cypress Island, Louisiana, is a true ambassador of Cajun culture. As one of the few young artists fluent in Cajun French, Jourdan captivates audiences with his authentic sound, skillful songwriting, and a band of top-tier musicians from Acadiana.
Joining him is Cedric Watson, a four-time Grammy-nominated fiddler, singer, accordionist, and songwriter. Cedric is recognized as one of the most promising young talents in Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco music. His dynamic performances are a celebration of Louisiana's rich musical heritage.
Completing the trio is Joel Savoy, a ten-time Grammy nominee, Grammy-winning recording engineer, and record producer. The son of Cajun music legends Marc and Ann Savoy, Joel is also a master fiddler and founder of the acclaimed Valcour Records.
The evening will begin with a dance lesson at 7:30 pm, followed by the performance from 8:00 pm until late. Don't miss this special night of music and dancing!
Tickets: $25 in advance / $30 at the door
