La Cumbiamba NY performs Gaita Music, also known as Cumbia, with its traditional instruments ensemble: Gaitas Y Tambores. La Cumbiamba’s musical director Martin Vejarano says the band’s music features “traditional sounds with a contemporary approach, all present in the band’s original repertoire”. Gaita music has a festive and danceable spirit.
