Colombian percussionist Daniela is an extraordinary musician. Her project Ladama has toured the world over and New Yorkers also know her for her other project - La Manga as well are her solo projects and many appearances as a hired percussionist.
Daniela has specialized in all manners of Afro-Colombian roots music, and while she often favors the Tambor Alegre, she is equally adept at the tambora, llamador, maracas or congas.
Whether with Ladama or on her own, Daniela has always worked as both a musician and an educator.
Workshops will focus all Colombian rhythms from the Caribbean, including cumbia, porro, fandango, Mapalé, Bullerengue and more.
Registration is suggested, but not necessary.
