Collaborator Jim Santi Owen Designed for the Orff trained music teacher but open to any and all, this workshop uses vocal percussion, body percussion, bucket drums, and un-pitched and pitched percussion to explore concepts and compositions from the North and South Indian Classical percussion traditions. This workshop is taught by Jim Santi Owen, an Orff Certified teacher who has been studying and teaching North and South Indian Percussion for nearly 25 years. Jim has a unique approach to using vocal percussion, body percussion, bucket drums, and the Orff instrumentarium to find the "elemental" in the complex rhythmic ocean that is Indian music. This will be a blast! Hope you can make it! For details, contact Jim directly at jsantiowen@gmail.com
