The entire world celebrated the Birth Centenary of Ravi Shankar from April 7th 2020 to April 6th, 2021. At the completion of this Centenary celebration we present this concert featuring one of his dearest disciples Barun Kumar Pal, performing Hansaveena ragas created by Ravi Shankar.
For this concert Barun Kumar Pal has chosen Rasiya as the main featured Raga. Originating from a folk melody, Ravi Shankar shaped it up to a classical sophistication maintaining the qualities of folk simplicity. Barun will be accompanied by Samir Chatterjee on tabla.
Barun's performance will be preceded by a vocal performance by Sanghamitra Chatterjee singing a song in Raga Rasiya, composed by Ravi Shankar.
