Join us at Barzakh Café for a captivating evening of traditional Khayal-infused Qawwali, rooted in the soulful Raags of Amir Khusro, the revered pioneer of the Qawwali genre. Experience a rare journey back in time under the supervision of Ustaad Naseeruddin Saami and his sons, the Saami Brothers, breathe life into these nearly-forgotten melodies, reviving Khusro’s compositions in their purest form. This evening’s performance offers a glimpse into a sacred tradition that begins with dhikr, or devotional chanting, traces the Chishti spiritual lineage to Hazrat Ali (RA), and culminates in the vibrant “Rang,” celebrating Khusro's deep bond with his spiritual guide, Nizamuddin Auliya.
