Called the toad medicine, it is extracted from a toad (Bufo Alvarius), which lives in the deserts of Sonora, Mexico. The 5 MeO organic DMT, which is the substance extracted is also present in various genera of plants of European and Asian origin. In 1965 a team of researchers from Germany announced through the journal Nature that they had been able to isolate 5 MeO DMT from human blood. Subsequent research has classified the 5 MeO DMT as "the first human endogenous psychedelic," since it is not only found in nature but also produced by our own body.
