SEDI DONKA BALKAN BAND

French violinist Adrien Chevalier has been based in NY for over a decade and has become known as a first rate jazz and Gypsy swing musician. Adrien has also been playing Balkan music for most of his life and is new project, Sedi Donka Balkan Band, is modeled on the great fiddling bands from Romania and Hungary such as Taraf de Haiduk -  but adds a distinct NY Cosmopolitan flavor as well as modern touches, such as dueling electric guitars alongside the violin section. 
Along with their virtuosity, the band brings on the kind of revelry and conviviality that, we hope, will become the mark of 2022
