No, we will not be honoring the Clash, instead, banjo player Arnt Arntzen presents a smorgasbord of banjoists and guitarists - the Strummer's Ball - where a random selection of curated players from across NYC will jam, tell (terrible) jokes, and present solo pieces. Jazz on the fretboards, showcased in a rare acoustic listening space at Barbés.
Much like bass players, guitarists and banjo players in the trad jazz scene of New York don't often get to hang out and jam together, because there's usually just one on each gig. Here is their chance.
