The Joni Project Trio, featuring Katie Pearlman, formed as a tribute in sound and spirit to Joni, and is quite simply the finest on the scene today. Katie is a remarkable multiple-instrumentalist, and impressively plays Joni's songs in their original open guitar tunings. The Joni Project Trio also includes jazz and jam band mainstay Dave Berg on guitar and Mark Mancini on keyboards. Together, the group brings fresh interpretations to Joni's legendary tunes from their many eras and genres - particularly from the time of her stunning and dynamic collaboration with Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheny and Michael Brecker.
