Let's come together to explore the profound depths of introspection and potential hidden within darkness through ecstatic dance.

The Sabbath Dance takes the framework of Ecstatic Dance and uses it to explore Jewish ritual. By mapping the dance onto the mystical landscape of Tevet - a month of spiritual depths where hidden light germinates in darkness, where inner vision transcends external perception - we will explore the thematic resonances of introspection, potential, and the transformative power of looking deeply within through the modality of movement. 

Just in the dark of winter, before light begins to return, our dance will journey through the mystical contraction of Tevet. We'll move through the spiritual essence of gevurah - divine restriction that paradoxically creates space for new growth - inviting each dancer to experience the profound potential that lies within moments of stillness and inner reflection.
