Trevor Dunn (Brooklyn) and Phillip Greenlief (Oakland) have been playing duo since 1994. Soon after their meeting, they recorded their untitled record of duets - the first record each of them released playing freely improvised music. Since then, they have played duo up and down the east and west coast and have collaborated with numerous other artists, expanding the duo for trio and quartet settings with Angelica Sanchez, Ches Smith, Scott Amendola) and have recently recorded new material at Figure 8 in Brooklyn for an upcoming release.
