A unique combination of the sounds of Josh Sinton (baritone sax, bass clarinet, alto flute), Todd Neufeld (electric guitar) and Giacomo Merega (electric bass), What Happens in a Year is a tiro that spontaneously creates intensely quiet and high-pressure music. Formed in 2017, they released their first album “Cérémonie/Musique” in 2021 to rave reviews. Downbeat Magazine wrote that, “it breathes easily and conveys a sense of spaciousness” and WIRE described it as “the exquisite attunement of restrained explorations.” This is the collaborative trio’s first concert since releasing their inaugural disc and they’re excited to offer this music to a live audience!
