Acclaimed comedian, sex worker rights advocate, and podcaster Kaytlin Bailey brings her one-woman show The Oldest Profession to Unicorn Bar on Friday, November 14.
“It's an hour that hurtles by, packed like an ‘80s New York sex club with goddesses and witches, the excesses of the punitive patriarchy, courtesans, politics, war and the burning of cats.” - Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Reviews: by Kate Copstick for The Scotsman
“Sex workers have always been here,” says Bailey. “This show is about reclaiming our place in history.”
Directed by Katherine Wilkinson, whose work has been praised for its emotional clarity. The Oldest Profession balances humor, education, and activism in a unique, unforgettable evening of storytelling.
Kaytlin Bailey is the host of The Oldest Profession Podcast, where every episode is a deep dive into a different sex worker from history. She is the founder of Old Pros, a nonprofit that uses storytelling to advocate for sex worker rights. Her work has been featured on NPR, The New York Times, and Rolling Stone. It focuses on sex worker rights, history and changing the stories we tell about “the oldest profession.”
Don’t miss this groundbreaking performance that is as entertaining as it is necessary.
