An evening of music, food, and community in solidarity with the Palestinian people in collaboration with Zines for Falastin, Healthcare Workers for Palestine, PYM Houston and Houston Jews for Palestine
Highlights of the night include:
🎤 Live performance by local Houston artists, inspired by the stories of formerly imprisoned Palestinian children, collected by the Women’s Studies Center in Jerusalem, translated from Arabic to English for the first time.
🎶 Musical acts and guest speakers (full line-up announced later this month!)
🍽️ Delicious dinner & dessert — all halal, vegan, and vegetarian-friendly.
🛍️ Curated Bazaar featuring products direct from Palestine and Lebanon:
• 🧵 Tatreez (embroidery) by women from Shatila Refugee Camp
• 🫒 Olive oil, dates, and spices from West Bank communities under threat from settler violence
• 🧼 Soap from the old cities of Nablus and Tripoli
• 🎨 Art by Palestinian artists
• 👜 Totes and prints from Nablus’s old city, and much more!
👶 Children’s Corner with Vetted, experienced Volunteers (6–9 pm):
• Activities, food, and a piñata for ages 3–12
• Hosted by experienced volunteers from the Houston Feminist Collective
• Children’s ticket free with General Admission ticket (see “Children’s Pass Add-ons” below)
100% of all ticket sales and bazaar proceeds go directly to families in Palestine through Wa’ad Mutual Aid, a volunteer collective providing cash assistance to besieged communities in the West Bank and to families of Zines for Falastin’s artists in Gaza.
