Brooklyn Baithak began as a small, intimate gathering in a living room, where raga based musicians and dancers came together to share their passion. The word baithak refers to a traditional South Asian gathering where artists are performing in an inmate setting close to the audience. The goal is to create an environment that encourages people to listen and appreciate the art form. As our monthly gatherings grew, so did our vision. In less than a year we've moved from a cozy living room to a vibrant café, and now, we're excited to present our first annual showcase!
At the heart of Brooklyn Baithak is the belief that music connects us all. It transcends boundaries, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to share in the joy of artistic expression. This showcase is not just a performance—it's a celebration of the community we've built, the collaborations that have formed, and the shared love for music that unites us.
Join us as we honor the power of music to foster connections, inspire creativity, and build a community that feels like home.
