The Jalopy Theatre and School of Music is New York City’s only folk music venue. A cornerstone of NYC’s music scene since 2006, Jalopy facilitates the preservation, evolution, and promotion of folk music traditions from around the world. Through concerts and festivals, year-round all-ages classes, and an in-house record label, Jalopy supports artists, cultivates multi-generational community, and fosters education and exchange around our shared musical heritage.
