Join us for a healing circle, where we'll use breathing techniques, music, guided meditation, and sharing to release what is no longer serving us. This event will be limited to 20 people, so please register soon.

To Bring

Water bottle (if you bring a refillable bottle, we have filtered water available)
Yoga Mat (I have some available if you do not have one)
Blanket and pillow (or anything else to get comfy while laying on the ground)
Optional: Chapstick, bolsters, your own eye covering (again, i have enough for all).
Also optional to bring light snacks. Some people get extremely hungry right after breathwork (me included)!

Breathwork Ceremony

What To Expect

This is not like a relaxing meditation. The breathing pattern is a lot faster than normal breathing and elicits a euphoric/altered state of consciousness. Often people have very intense bodily sensations during breathwork, including tingling and buzzing throughout the body, sweating, and the need to move around. Even more important than the bodily sensations is the intense emotional experience. Be prepared! People often uncontrollably cry, laugh, or make noises during this class. This practice tends to bring up intense emotions, past traumas, and “stuck” feelings or blockages that need to be released.
During the breathwork portion of the class, you will be laying down on your back on a yoga mat (with whatever blankets and pillows you bring for yourself). You will be provided an eye covering, though you can bring your own. The room will be dimly lit. Tribal music will be played through speakers in the room and you will be guided through the breath patterns.
The breathwork portion of this event will include roughly 10 minutes of preparation and warmups, 20 minutes of breathwork, and 10 minutes of meditation and sound healing.

WARNING: People interested in breathwork should be aware of any potential risks. Breathwork is not recommended for people with a history of aneurysms, cardiovascular problems, high blood pressure, vision problems, osteoporosis, or any recent physical injuries or surgeries. It is also not recommended for people who experience severe psychiatric symptoms or seizures or who take heavy medication. Potential participants may want to consult with their primary care physician and seek a certified professional before engaging in breathwork therapy.
