Day and TimeSat, 16 May 2020 09:00PM - 10:00PM (EDT)
In celebration of International Day of Light on May 16th, the cell theatre presents LIQUIDVERSE : DAY OF LIGHT, a psychedelic & meditative virtual concert exploring the images of the cosmos through oil based dyes creating a mind bending light show by Liquid Light Lab and music by composer Ricardo Romaneiro, in collaboration with remote musicians Hannah Sumner (vocals), Jacqui Kerrod (harp), Adam Maalouf (hang drum), Justin Abrams (cello), & NoisioN (analog synths). LIQUIDVERSE draws inspiration of an ancient philosophical concept of the Music of the Spheres, where it incorporates the metaphysical principle that planets in fluid motion vibrate and produce sound or "tones" of energy which manifest in numbers, visual angles, shapes and sounds. Organic visuals and experimental analog light show are created by hand, live in real time. Classic analog elements like colored oils and overhead projectors are blended with cutting edge digital imaging creates abstract visual worlds. Join us for a virtual consciousness-expanding audiovisual exploration of the cosmos. Tickets are free with RSVP Donations are strongly encouraged!
