This galère gathering isn’t simply about the poems, but also the poet’s muse, how the verse came to be. So, if writers write to expose themselves and actors act to hide themselves . . . poets pose as spiritual coroners—examining both the living and the dead—via self-evisceration. A psychic operation that allows the assemblage to decide if the work’s DNA is that of an archangel . . . or Frankenstein.

Our June event features the following poets:

Jill Dearman writes socially-engaged crime fiction, with an emphasis on queer history, and intersectional feminism. Her books include "The Uncanny Case of Gilles/Jeannette" - a gender-swapped twist on Jekyll and Hyde that takes place in Depression-era Hudson. Jill writes a weekly Meta-Astrology column for Trixie’s List.

Bobby Miller
is a performance poet, writer, actor, and photographer. His photo books include "Fabulous! A Photographic Diary Of Studio 54" and "Wigstock." He is the recipient of a Jackie 60 Lifetime Achievement Award, four Jackie 60 Awards, and a NYC Glamie Award.

barb morrison (they/them) is a top 5 billboard dance chart songwriter and platinum record producer for numerous artists such as blondie, rufus wainwright, and franz ferdinand. they have just released their first book entitled "bottoming for god" - a story about gender euphoria, sobriety, old skool NY, true love, past lives, and coming home.
