The New York Oud Festival is a multi-day, multi-venue music festival that displays the oud and its versatility as it exists in New York's diverse musical culture. The NYOF celebrates the oud and its wide-ranging influence on global music culture, showcasing artists from a multitude of traditions and contexts, and demonstrating why the oud continues to be one of the world's most beloved instruments.

Join us for a special Community Showcase night at one of our favorite places in Brooklyn. The night will feature a few short sets from local oudists, followed by an open mic.
Adam Good is a Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist and composer working with contemporary modal music in the traditional styles of Turkey, Greece and Eastern Europe. His musicianship on guitar, Turkish ud, tanbur, and knowledge of Turkish makam has made Adam a fixture of the Balkan and Middle Eastern music scenes in the US and abroad.
Michael Joseph Burdi is a musician and composer from Brooklyn, NY of Syrian and Italian descent. Michael plays Arabic oud, performing traditional music from The Levant along with original compositions from his albums Harmal and Mosaics that include influences from Arab and African folk to Western progressive music.
Murat Keyder is a Turkish-American Oud and Guitar player based in NYC. He was born in Istanbul and started playing both instruments at a young age. In addition to playing Turkish traditional music on the oud, he composes original music and also teaches both instruments
