STAND UP AND SING! is a continuation of the series of classes Emily has been teaching this year called Simple Singing, Simple Songs. As the title promises, you will be up and singing in this class! 

We'll start with a fun and varied vocal warm up, helping you explore breath, stamina, range, and resonance. We'll do exercises that take you through the basics of technique in a direct and invigorating way. From there, Emily will share a variety of songs and vocal games that will let you further explore your voice and inspire you to keep singing.

As the class goes on, you'll be invited to stand up and sing! (Ok, you can sit. . .but you get the idea.) It might feel scary, but taking a turn sharing a song on zoom can also be quite invigorating. This class will challenge you to take a turn at doing so, and you'll get to explore various songs along the way. You will have the option to receive some feedback, or just take the chance to share and invite others to join along with you on mute. We'll do a lot of prep work to make you feel more comfortable with your own singing and sharing, and you'll enjoy hearing the voices of others as well.
