After five sold-out shows, Barzakh Majlis returns to Brooklyn this Friday, June 12th.

This edition features one of our most exciting lineups to date, led by The Brooklyn Nomads, a New York City–based ensemble creating bold, contemporary artistic experiences rooted in Arabic musical traditions and shaped through collaboration across cultures. Led by oud player and composer Hadi Eldebek and co-founded with percussionist Mohamad Eldebek, the ensemble has performed at institutions including the Kennedy Center, BAM, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, TED, and MIT.

Joining them for one night in Brooklyn:

Teentara
Bengali folk, Indian classical music, jazz, and R&B influences woven into a performance of Bengali classics and original compositions.

Cafe Aman Project x KELEPOÚRI
Music and dance rooted in the Smyrneiko traditions of Asia Minor Greeks, inspired by the historic Café Aman gatherings and shaped by contemporary diasporic experiences.

Sannan Mahboob & Karamat Khan
A collaboration between rabab and tabla, exploring Pakistani classical and folk traditions through virtuosity and rhythm.

Pezhvak
A Boston-based ensemble bringing together musical influences from across Iran, drawing on a rich spectrum of folk, classical, and contemporary Persian traditions.
