Sunday Sing: Winter-Into-Spring Edition!

Back after a nine-month hiatus, Emily is excited to teach this class again! Join in for a weekly dose of soul-filling harmony and communal singing, as the snow melts, spring gradually emerges, and the warm weather returns! Every session will begin with a warm-up that emphasizes various aspects of vocal technique with the goal of feeling free, open, and ready to sing. We'll do some round and part singing as a group, and then dive into harmony singing. We'll work on the tools that get you harmonizing with ease, with a combination of ear training, picking out harmonies by ear, singing songs from different US and world harmony traditions, improvising harmonies in the moment, and incorporating tips for vocal technique that help us make the music really sing.

There will be some notation for learning purposes, although reading music is not required. This class is ideal for people who would like some vocal tips and technique ideas, want to improve their ear-training skills and harmony chops, love to sing with others, or who just want to sing! Designed for beginning through intermediate-level singers, but will be tailored to offer something for everyone.

For this round, we'll do a mix of new songs and familiar favorites, with some deeper dives into a few songs we can really polish and even work on in small groups for those who are comfortable.
