Pride. Greed. Wrath. Lust. Envy. Gluttony. Sloth. These seven impulses have endured in the human imagination for thousands of years. What do they mean now? Are they sins? Are deadly? Are they escapable?
For Theater in Asylum’s next cabaret, we ask artists to create a 10-20 minute original theater piece looking at the Seven Deadly Sins. Artists may focus on one or multiple of these sins, disparately or as a set. Theater in Asylum will be bringing an except from its still-gestating Faust pieces featuring the Seven Deadly Sins individually personified.
