Kelli Welli (Portland, OR) - Drawing on her unique upbringing and often inspired by the kids and animals in her life, Kelli Welli’s wide-ranging and award-winning songwriting is smart, fun, often hilarious, sometimes reflective and deeply sweet. Always genuine. Her original songs and lullabies weave wonderful tales, celebrate love, nature, different languages, and honor all the details that come with raising these amazing little people in our lives.

Nanny Nikki (Chicago, IL) - From the time she was a young girl, Nikki knew that music is where she found her HAPPY! After college, she worked as a professional nanny for nearly 15 years… and sang. ALL THE TIME! Now that she is a GRAMMY nominated musician, and a Mother, and caring for other children, she finds every excuse to have "music time.” The looks on the faces of small children when they hear a song that excites them makes her heart swell!

Uncle Shlomo's Family Concert Series 2023 From award-winning folk musicians to rock-n-rollers, puppeteers and pop stars, this new family concert series is sure to engage, entertain and educate your entire family! Hosted by Brooklyn's own award-winning singer/songwriter Suzi Shelton, this monthly concert series features a diverse array of top notch musicians and performers from around the country who will share their backgrounds and talents with us. Nestled in the heart of Red Hook, Brooklyn, Jalopy Theatre and School of Music is a home for music and music-makers: a multifaceted arts space celebrating traditional folk music through live performances and communal learning. Concerts are approximately one hour in length and geared for families with children 10 and under, however everyone is welcome. Refreshments are available for sale.

This concert series is generously funded by Uncle Shlomo's Brooklyn Kids Music Fund in memory of our friend and mentor Shlomo Pestcoe. Proceeds from the door will go to the Jalopy Scholarship Fund.
