ABOUT
Founded in 1968, Matagiri is dedicated to the integral evolutionary vision of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and the building of the international community of Auroville. We host regular group and private yoga classes, talks and concerts and have online sales through our gift shop, Pondicherry. Please see our events and Facebook pages. Please call if you wish to visit the Sanctuary and library to make sure the heat is on and someone is here to greet you. Our new straw bale superinsulated building has an air handler so fresh air is constantly coming in while stale air is exhausted. Portable HEPA filters are in the library and Sanctuary.
