Galen Passen is a sitarist, composer, and collaborator who has been training in Hindustani music on the sitar for over a decade. He trained under his guru, Gopal Krishan Shah in New Delhi between 2009 and 2017 and now studies with NYC based sitarist, Abhik Mukherjee. He is driven by his desire to spread the beauty and story telling of the classical music of North India and to find poignant ways to collaborate with other forms of music as well. He founded Saratoga Hindustani in August 2018.
