The Lion's Gate refers to an alignment that occurs every year between the Earth, the star Sirius, and the constellation Orion between July 26 and August 12, peaking on August 8th. It was believed in ancient times to be a time of heightened spiritual energy and an opportunity for positive transformation and growth. Sirius, also known as the "Dog Star," is the brightest star in the night sky and holds great importance in various cultures, including ancient Egypt, where it was linked to the goddess Isis and the annual flooding of the Nile River. The alignment with the Orion constellation during this time adds to the energetic significance of the event. Orion is a prominent constellation in the sky and holds symbolic value in many cultures throughout history.

During the Lion's Gate portal, it is believed that the alignment of these celestial bodies facilitates a flow of high-frequency energy to Earth. This energy is said to support spiritual growth, manifestation, and healing. To honor this important celestial alignment, we will be hosting a gathering at our Veda Farms HQ and future home of our integrative wellness center. First, we will begin with light refreshments on our porch and a talk by Dr. Bhaswati Bhattacharya--our beloved Chief Science & Research Officer--on power of food as medicine according to the ancient healing science of Ayurveda. Next, we will perform a traditional Vedic fire ceremony. The Vedic tradition recognizes fire as a powerful purifier and a conduit for divine energy. Through this ancient ritual, we aim to connect with the elemental forces, express our intentions, and invoke the transformative energy of the fire to manifest positive change within ourselves and the world around us. Specifically, we will be honoring the element of FIRE, one of the five fundamental elements of nature (i.e. fire, water, air, space and earth), in honor of the Lion's Gate astrological alignment in the fire sign of Leo.

During this gathering, we will engage in meaningful discussions, heartfelt connections, and reflective practices that cultivate a sense of unity and empowerment. This will be a space for sharing, listening, and supporting one another as we collectively work towards creating a harmonious and sustainable future.

A Natural Offering: A small offering of flowers, herbs or other natural substance to offer into the fire.
Nourishment to Share: A small food or beverage item to share.
Dress for the Experience: Comfortable clothes, as we will be outdoors. We will have all-natural bug sprays on hand.
