There’s nothing more important in your life than your next breath. From this it follows that the quality of your consciousness is connected to the quality of your breathing. In this workshop/sound meditation experience, the fundamentals of good breathing will be explored through a series of breath awareness exercises. Then participants will be guided on a breath and sound centered meditation journey accompanied by a variety of traditional wind instruments from around the world. Josh Geisler will perform on bansuri (North Indian bamboo) flutes, Didgeridoo, jaw harp, and Native American style flutes. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 1998, Josh traveled to India many times to study with bansuri legend Pandit Raghunath Seth. He recently returned to the Hudson Valley after 9 years of touring as a musician with Cirque du Soleil’s “TOTEM”. This offering is part of a special schedule of immersive activities and entertainment at Race Brook Lodge, July 4-7, including live music, Yoga, Ayurvedic workshops and treatments, guided hikes and more!
