A half-day embodied exploration with Leo and Rene Reveuse

We seek power, yet fear to hold it. Our hearts yearn for intimacy, yet we hide from ourselves and others. We wish to be part of something greater than ourselves, yet refuse to compromise on our checklist of preferences.

And none of this is wrong. Our layers of social conditioning are protective. We have been hurt by the world, of which we are a part. And we don’t want to be hurt that way, again. We have harmed others, and don’t want to make those same mistakes again. Good.

If you care about yourself and others, this workshop is for you. You are seeking to be responsive to your internal and external circumstance. You are learning to be responsible.

But life is risky, and no amount of forethought will keep you safe. What attitude will we bring to this experience of being alive? Can we get what we want while still working to benefit others? Can we bring that care into fullest fruition in the moments of intimate connection?

In this workshop, we explore the realm of power, built on a foundation of centered attunement to self, and responsive intimacy with others. We feel into desire and satisfaction in our bodies, touch upon dreams and fantasies in our minds, and explore power, possession, domination, and submission within the crucible of intimate openness between two people.

This workshop isn't about technical mastery. It is not about metaphysics, or sex, or discovering your inner god or goddess. Rather, we will explicate, demonstrate, and invite you to personally explore a way of consensual relating that uses the warmth from a night of cuddling to generate the heat and rush of a coke-fueled tryst in the club bathroom.

This is an invitation to discover the subtle dance of presence and power that emerges when you drop the scripts and meet what's actually alive between you and others.

What We'll Explore

This workshop will move through the following arc:

Ground — grounding in the body and senses, resting in lucidity
Care — generating an attitude of magnanimity for self and others
Attunement — intimate responsiveness to self, other, and the field between
Power — control, domination, desire, submission, trust, security, possession, play

The first three sets of exercises will take about 2 hours, and set the conditions for partners to meet in a state that is attuned, tender-hearted, and intimately responsive. The final section on Power will explore the dynamics of polarity and D/s relating from that stance of intimate openness.

What to Expect

This is a high-engagement, experiential workshop open to couples and solo explorers. It is not a place to find a date, but rather to explore the textures of relating with others in intimate attunement with desire, power, and pleasure.

Brief teachings and demonstrations by Leo and Rene open each section, followed by partnered or group practices. Each practice begins with an intense demonstration, before inviting you to explore with a partner in your own way.

Power engages erotic energy directly, in ways that may surprise. We will attune closely to the forces of desire and aliveness in our body and the relational field. Simple, non-verbal signals show other participants whether you are open to engaging from the heart, from the belly, or if you need space to yourself.

Clothes stay on. This is not a play party. It is a careful, phenomenologically precise, and deeply embodied exploration of the field that forms between people and the way it is transformed by power differentials.

Partner Selection

We work from a trauma-informed standpoint. Participants always choose for themselves, at the beginning of each exercise, starting with a series of exercises that explore boundaries as patterned vibrations within the feeling-body, without physical contact. Any exercise can be modified or skipped. Consent is required to clarify the scope, before each D/s exercise. The container is designed so that stepping back or disconnecting from a partner or exercise is always possible, as frictionless as possible, and never requires explanation. Life is never safe, but we care for our students and work hard to create a space where everyone can feel the justified trust needed to really relax into their experience, fully.

There is no warranty that participants will find a partner for any give exercise. Everyone will have many opportunities to form connections with others, and we encourage participants to have the courage to develop some trust and intimacy in earlier exercises, if they hope to find partners for later exercises. Voyeurism and observation also offers much to learn and reflect upon.

Your Guides

Rene Reveuse is a researcher and contemplative practitioner who studies how the brain and emotions shape attention and rest. Her yogic practice centers on surrender as an active responsiveness that allows sensation to deepen and bloom into presence. She brings intellectual rigor, somatic refinement, and a finely calibrated capacity for tracking affective tone and guiding nervous systems into states of rich, resonant, grounded pleasure.

Leo Reveuse is a professional and contemplative guide specializing in precise, embodied attention to sensation, emotion, and relational dynamics. His professional work in conflict prevention and resolution gives him a sober, unromantic understanding of power, boundaries, and what responsibility actually requires. Two decades of contemplative practice have refined his capacity to remain present with intensity — particularly where eros, vulnerability, and control converge. Mind as vast as the sky; conduct as fine as flour.

Leo and Rene have shared a committed partnership for over 15 years. Their essential approach might be characterized as radical Dzogchen, but they draw from careful study of an abundance of incredible teachers and books. Everything Leo and Rene present has been extensively tested in the laboratory of their life together.

Practical Details

Date: Saturday, May 23rd

Time: 1pm to 8pm, with two 10 minute breaks and a 30-minute break in the middle.

What to Bring: Flexible clothes that let you feel hot and powerful, whatever that means to you. Yoga mats will be provided, or bring your own. A water bottle. A journal for reflection. Consider bringing a blanket and something you find comforting.

We will offer some snacks for the breaks. There are limited food options nearby, so we encourage you to bring some food to eat, or even share, for the 30 minute break.
