Yasmin brings together her passion for Arabic music, multicultural exploration, and community-building to the Awtaan Youth Choir. Half Egyptian and half Peruvian, Yasmin grew up with a deep appreciation for the ways in which music and the arts can preserve culture, celebrate identity, and build bridges across communities. Before moving to New York City, Yasmin sang with Jazaal, an Arabic adult and youth choir in Boston, MA. Her experience as a performer, combined with her professional background in business strategy and organizational leadership, enables her to bring both creativity and structure to the Awtaan Youth Choir. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where young people can connect with Arabic language, music, and culture while developing confidence, artistic expression, and a strong sense of community.
