ABOUT
Adrija Basu belongs to a highly enriched musical family of kolkata. She has started her musical journey at a very early age of two under the tutelage of her Grandfather Sangeet Acharya Pt.Ramkrishna Basu who was a torchbearer of Indore gharana,a disciple of Ustad Amir Khan. Later on she continues her talim under the guidance of Acharya Jayanta Bose in Binkar gharana,also Jaipur-Gwalior gharana under Sri Alick Sengupta and special guidance under Padmasri Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar. She is fortunate to receive blessings from eminent musicians like Pt. Sharad sathe, Pt.A.T Kanan, Pt .Arun Bhaduri, Vidushi Malabika Kanan, Vidushi Dalia Rahut, Vidushi Subhra Guha, and Pt.Ajoy Chakraborty . She has been awarded with “BEST FEMALE CLASSICAL VOCALIST” from bharat sankskriti utsav, 2017 “YUVA RATNA PURASKAR” 2017, have been honoured with “GANWARDHAN PURASKAR” from PUNE MAHARASHTRA 2018 , "SUR RATNA AWARD"from Kalakrit Foundation Mumbai 2020.She is an empanelled Artiste of All India Radio kolkata, and regularly performing all over India.
