Describe yourself: I’m a Hindustani Classical musician with about 30 years of experience in performing, teaching, and collaborating with artists across the globe.I've had the opportunity to train under the direct descendants of Maihar Gharana. My primary instrument is the ShataTantriVeena (Kashmiri Santoor), although I'm also trained in Sarod, Tabla, and Pakhawaj. Being a child prodigy, equally trained in European Classical music.An international awardee from Norway and President Scholarship holder from the Government of India. I’ve worked extensively in various film/theatre/dance projects and contributed as an artist to several ICCR commissioned programs. Playing Style: Artistic brilliance, rich repertoire, and a magnificence of tone and melody are his hallmarks. Deeply loved by the senior stalwarts of the music scene like Swarasamrat Ali Akbar Khan,Maa Annapurna Devi,Pandit Shankar Ghosh,Pandit Samar Saha,Pandit Nayan Ghosh,Pandit Swapan Chowdary,Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumder,Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan,Pandit Anindo Chatterjee and many others. Besides enjoying unusually high level of respect from his entire contemporary musician. He is the only repertoire with excellent command of Acharya Baba Allauddin Khan's Tan-Seni Maihar Veenkari Dhrupad Gharana. His Santoor recitals sparkle with intense melodiousness and rich delineations, bringing out the depth and the true spirit of the raga. His judicious balance of the dhrupad Gayaki and the Veenkari elements reveal his unswerving focus on musical form and beauty.
