3e:T6ff,

Moving your body is a shortcut to freeing your mind, and this meditative yet high-impact dance practice is designed to do just that. Through a gently guided 1.5 hour somatic session, facilitator Hilary Cadigan will help you release whatever you're stuck holding onto and leave it behind on the dance floor.

No choreography, no judgments, no expectations — this is a safe and cozy space to drop in, let go, and get feral. We're not dancing to new age spa music here. Expect to sweat. Expect some Cardi B. Expect to leave feeling WAY BETTER than you did when you came in.

This dance floor is femme/queer-centered but not femme/queer-exclusive. All are welcome to come and move, as long as you commit to maintaining the safety and comfort of women, queer, trans and nonbinary folks. No leering, no touching without clear consent, and (my promise to you) no forced partner activities. Oh, and no talking or phones on the dance floor, please :)

THE DETAILS: Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Please arrive on time to ground into the space and partake in our pre-dance animal reading (it'll make sense when you're here!). We'll start together promptly at 8 and wrap up around 9:30 p.m.

Wear whatever you feel comfy dancing in. Layers are recommended as it can get hot! This is a barefoot practice. Bring a water bottle.

20% of all proceeds go to the Immigrant Defense Project. We dance for liberation, both personal and collective.

NOTE: If ticket cost feels prohibitive, email me at hilarycadigan@gmail.com and we'll make it work, no questions asked. Dance > capitalism 😘

40:T6d6,

Moving your body is a fast track to freeing your mind, and this therapeutic dance practice is born out of a decade of doing just that. Facilitator Hilary Cadigan will lead a meditative dance party for these troubled times, designed to help you release whatever you're stuck holding onto and leave it behind on the dance floor.

No choreography, no judgments, no expectations — this is a safe and loving space to drop in and let go among likeminded weirdos. We start slow, get fast, then go back down to slow. There will be some guidance to get you into the groove and help you make the most of the practice, but we're not dancing to new age spa music here. Expect to sweat. Expect some Cardi B. Expect to leave feeling WAY BETTER than you did when you came in.

We'll start promptly at 6:30 and end at 8, so please arrive on time so we can all begin together. We'll dance for about an hour and 15 minutes, with a bit of extra time for warm-up and cool-down.

This space is femme-centered but not femme-exclusive — all are welcome to come and move, as long as you commit to maintaining the safety and comfort of femme and nonbinary folks. No leering, no touching without consent, and (my promise to you) no awkward forced partner activities. Oh, and no talking or phones on the dance floor, please :)

Wear whatever you feel comfy dancing in. This is a barefoot practice. Bring water. I love you.

$1 from each ticket sale goes to the Immigrant Defense Project.
$1 from each ticket sale goes to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund.

If the ticket price feels unaffordable but you still want to come, let me know and we'll make something work!
