39:T6da,

*~*~* you've got mail *~*~*

The 2000s called, they want their flip phones, low-rise jeans, and emotional instability back.

On June 13, Lightning Lofts presents Y2K SUMMER a rooftop party for the kids who were actually there and lived to tell the tale.

This one’s for the generation that burned CDs, customized Myspace profiles like sacred art projects, mastered AIM away-messages like poetry, rocked butterfly clips, frosted tips, and JNCO jeans on the daily, and raised Tamagotchis with the seriousness of actual parenthood. We’ll never forget you sweetie.

A whole new generation may be cosplaying the era, but this summer we’re taking it back.

>> what's the DL:

DJs spinning throwbacks from burned CD-Rs you wish you still had. Nostalgic activations designed to scratch that itch in your brain. And a few surprises you’ll have to experience IRL ;-)

3a:T59c,

When was the last time you truly celebrated Easter? Somewhere along the way, Easter quietly became a holiday adults stopped celebrating.

This year, we’re giving Easter the glow up it deserves ✨

On Saturday April 4th, Lightning Society Lofts presents BOUNCE — an Easter house party.

💖🐰💖

Two dance floors.

Immersive room activations.

An Easter egg hunt where what you find might be more than candy.

Come out and play in bunny ears, your favorite furry or fuzzy fit, or dressed head-to-toe in pastels.

3b:T57b,

Join us at Lightning Society Lofts for a night of whimsy and heartfelt puppetry!

Whether you’re an aspiring puppeteer, storyteller, singer, musician, or curious human and think puppets are pretty neat - we’ll enjoy an evening where our home will transform into a living room theater, cabaret, confessional, and platform of imaginative delights.

This event is for puppetry of all levels. Whether you just attended a puppet making workshop and yearning for a moment to bring your character to life, an experienced puppeteer ready to experiment with a newly formed act, or you simply have a silly voice and want to put a sock over your hand and wing it. This is a night for us to let loose, play, and laugh at the beautiful absurdity of puppets.

We’ll start the evening with puppet making crafting 5pm-7pm and kickoff the puppet salon at 7:30pm with curtains closing at 10pm.
